about the rig

My standard swatter built. Triangle truss with 1 steel. 8’ verticals for the goalpost with a 5’ horizontal. Wigs from the bucket to the tri truss. Kickers on the goalpost. 20’ kickers from the goalpost to the 20x20 frame. 2x belly lines to finish it off.

Built the frame out of 6” ModX and the carriage frame attachment out of 9” ModX. 6’ vertical of tower provided the high connection points for come alongs that ran out to the frame corners.

20x20 ModX Softbox

20x20x4 softbox made out of Modulus-X Mx|66|. I find the rigidity of the modulus-x allows you to tilt the box and aim it more aggressively. It’s slimmer and a bit more versatile than a 12” box truss build.
